SELCO Community Credit Union and Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation are excited to announce the 2026 Pole Pedal Paddle Design Contest, which will begin on December 2nd, 2025. Artists of all ages are encouraged to submit their designs. All designs will be screened and judged by a selection committee made up of SELCO and MBSEF staff. The top 8 designs will be put forward for public vote on SELCO’s website on January 19th. Two additional designs will be shared as “honorable mentions.” The public voting window will remain open until January 25th. On January 27th, the winning design, which will be featured on all 2026 PPP Posters, T-shirts and merchandise, will be announced. The winning artist will receive $500, a commemorative mug, and a variety of merchandise featuring their design, which will ultimately become a part of Pole Pedal Paddle history!

The committee will screen and judge all designs on the following qualities:
- Design must include race name: “SELCO Pole Pedal Paddle”
- Design must include the year (2026) and include a nod to 50 years of PPP.
- Design must be digital or, if created by hand, be easily transferred to a digital format. To be easily transferred, a hand drawn design must have bold, solid lines and shapes with positive and negative spaces clearly defined. Such a design is easy to reproduce.
- Design must be well suited for the front of a T-shirt ( approximately, 12”x14”).
- Design must utilize no more than 6 colors.
- Design must be complete and ready for print.
- Design must be original, memorable, visible and eye catching.
- Design might creatively represent each leg or sport of the race.
- Design might represent the unique location or environment of the race.
- Design might recognize the historic year, for example by being retro in nature, or by giving a nod to original T-shirt design.
