TRANSPONDERS

All racers in the Pole Pedal Paddle will receive a transponder at Packet Pick-up that is tied to their bib number. We recommend transponders be worn on ankles, but they seem to work just fine on wrists, as well.

Only one transponder is issued to each bib number. Therefore, racers in the Pairs and Teams categories will pass off their transponder at transitions where the racer on course is changing. Be sure to take care of your transponder. Racers who lose transponders on course will not receive an official start time and will not be eligible for awards.

LIVE TRACKING – New this year!

This year racers, support people, teammates and spectators will be able to utilize live tracking to follow racer status on course, as well as their leader board standing. People who wish to view certain racers will need to know bib number, individual racer name, or team name (for pairs and team categories). You may set up who you would like to follow prior to the start of the race. Be sure to check it out and utilize live tracking. We hope this addition will help to minimize stress – especially for folks in the pairs category who are always so worried about beating their biker to town.

Below is the link for ALL live tracking. Please keep in mind live tracking for PPP will not be set up until after registration closes and bib numbers are  finalized. However, feel free to save this link NOW for easy use on race day. Once live tracking is set-up for this year, our timing officials will be emailing you with a special link that will go directly to your individual team’s landing page as well.

RACER RESULTS & OFFICIAL TIMES – New this year!

In the hopes of making each racer’s results more accessible this year, we have added a unique QR code to each bib. This unique QR code will go directly to your individual, pair or team’s results. The QR code on your bib can be used to see your unofficial splits, time, and ranking, and will update once your time and ranking is verified. It will ALSO note whether or not you have qualified for a mug! Our volunteers at the mug station will be asking you to check the QR code on your bib, prior to approaching the mug station.
