PPP PREVIEW DAY AT MT. BACHELOR – MAY 11th
Our local Nordic community is organizing a big day of demos, clinics, and casual racing in the spirit of PPP preparedness! It will take place on Saturday, May 11th from 9am – 1pm at the Nordic Center at Mt. Bachelor.
9am – Course Preview Clinic for PPP (Intermediate Skate Clinic)
Feel confident heading into the PPP Nordic-leg! This clinic will take participants on a preview ski of the racecourse, stopping frequently to discuss race strategy and pacing. Along the way, instructors will review the fundamentals of skate ski technique and share tips for efficiency and speed. This clinic is 1.5 hours and costs $49 (rentals and trail pass should be purchased separately, if needed). Please call the Nordic Center to sign up: 541-693-0999.
10am – MBSEF’s PPP Prep Race
The race starts at the Nordic Lodge, heads up Blue Jay’s, and then follows the PPP Nordic Racecourse. This is the perfect opportunity to preview the course, test out your race strategy, and get hyped up for the big event! Registration is by donation at
11am – Learn to XC Ski for PPP!
With just one week left until PPP, it is crunch-time to learn to skate or classic ski for the race! Join Mt Bachelor Nordic Center’s Instructors for an overview of the basic techniques you’ll need for race day: skiing on flats, downhills, and uphills. This is truly a crash-course lesson that will prepare you for a much more successful PPP experience. There will be separate groups for skate and classic skiing. 9am – 1pm – Nordic Ski Demo
Join Power House and Latitude 44 Sports for a Nordic Demo Day. Latitude 44 Sports will have a fleet of Atomic skis and Powder House will have Salomon, Peltonen, and Madshus skis, all available for you to ski and test out. Upgrade for the PPP, or just try out gear in anticipation of next season’s purchases. Demos are free, however a trail pass is required for trail access.

WANT YOUR NORDIC SKIS RACE READY?
Proper waxing, especially in tricky spring conditions, can make or break your Nordic Leg in the PPP. MBSEF’s Nordic Coaches are offering the PPP community a chance to have your skis waxed specifically for PPP weekend and an opportunity to support MBSEF programs.
We will provide waxing services between Monday, 5/13 and Friday, 5/17 with both “drop-off” and “while-you-wait” options, depending on the day and location.
Payment is due at drop-off – we gladly accept Credit Card, Cash or Check.
